David Buckingham(1987):'Popular Television and its Audience'

I read this article David Buckingham (1987):'Popular Television and its Audience' (http://www.aber.ac.uk/media/Modules/TF33120/bucking1.html#A)

East Endres was a very popular drama in United Kingdom. Many teenager watched it and were affected. Dr, David Buckingham studied viewers of East Endres by having 60 young viewers discussing this TV program.

Throurh this group discussion he found that gender difference has many influences on the debate about some characters. Girls value emotional and domestic story lines, but boys value action and violence. Therefore boys admire the amoral characters He cautioned this has a bad influence on boys’ contribution and act.

This is very interesting.
We must be careful about this effect of TV programs.
